Confidence for most Corporate Managers begins with trusting those tasked with company regulatory compliance. Confidence with certainty is a step beyond that, which is often accomplished by adding a fresh set of eyes to assess the program from an outside/audit perspective. PCS offers and performs Gap Analysis services as a cost effective way to provide both confidence and verification to those managing NERC Reliability Standards compliance, as well as to their Corporate Management.

Gap Analysis Services

We can conduct a Gap Analysis of any number of Reliability Standard for your Organization, from one Standard to every Standard applicable to your NERC registrations. Clients typically provide completed Reliability Standard Audit Worksheets (RSAWs) and the associated evidence/documentation necessary to prove compliance with each applicable requirement and sub-requirement.

For each Reliability Standard included in the project, our team conducts an in-depth review of the responses provided in each RSAW and the associated compliance documentation/evidence and, following each requirement review, records comments on completeness, as well as suggestions for any areas requiring gap closure.

Following the reviews, we develop a requirement-by-requirement report. The report details the Standard requirements, and if needed, sub-requirements reviewed, and the completeness of the documentation and evidence provided. PCS’ opinion of the Entity’s current compliance efforts are organized by Standard and rated as Sufficient, Needs Improvement, Issue, Not Applicable, or Best Practice. The report is delivered to the client lead via the PCS secure ShareFile portal or a method agreed to prior between the parties.
